In seiner Focus-Sektion präsentiert das FISDN eine Reihe von Programmen zentriert um spezifische Länder oder Regionen. Diese Programme wollen dem Zuschauer Zugang geben zu fremden und andersartigen kulturellen Räumen. Ziel ist, Einblick zu geben in existenzielle, politische, soziale und pysische Besonderheiten bestimmter Lokalitäten, um so ein differentes emotionales und interlektuelles Relief zu rekonstruieren. In dieser kritischen Arbeit ziehen wir Filme vor, die in Form, Inhalt und Expression stereotypen Darstellungsweisen entraten, Filme, die angesichts der eine Lebensform und ein kulturelles Muster prologierenden "Globalisierung" Differenzarbeit betreiben.
