Located on the Pamir highlands in Tajikistan, Bulunkul is a village left to its fate since the collapse of the Soviet Union. As winter approaches, the inhabitants organize their survival.

On November 05, 2015, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, a mining dam containing toxic waste broke. Poisonous sludge poured into the Rio Doce river, which flows 650 km to the Atlantic Ocean. It was the worst socio-environmental crisis in my country's history. Retracing the path of the catastrophe, this film tells the story of the profound transformation of this territory, which has suffered lasting damage.
