A boy and a girl riding a speedboat all alone. Two drunken woman have a blast in their convertible car. Two cops practicing their shooting abilities, while they wait for their car to get washed. They all meet in a gas station. Innocence meets sex and power meets itself. The local band pays a tribute to the victims of stupidity. An ironic subliminal message about the authority of violence and the violence of the authority.

A brief encounter set in the urban landscape of East London. Melanie, a make-up artist in her late twenties, and Alex, a social anthropologist in his late thirties, cross paths one night under the scaffolds. They stroll in the streets for a while, shifting positions in a play of dynamics and eventually find themselves in the confines of a damp living room, where something must happen. Or maybe not.

We present film series focused on 16 different countries and regions. This section intends to discover and explore different spaces and cultures with the aim to understand the specific regional, political and social circumstances, do reconstruct the emotional and intellectual spécificities of a special region or country. In this critical work we belief it's essencial to prefer films which rufuse, in its form and expression, the retake of sterotype ways of reality restituition, as an act of resistance in the actual period of "globalisation", which inclins to impose one dominating model of culture and habitutes.
