Lammert has no mischief, but he becomes the victim of the stifling
effect of a community that has already chosen its scapegoat.
|
|
|
|
Jury Statement :
The film deals with important topics, which are nature and human relationships
in a witty way and with an expressive film language. In this story of
small community in the village in the Netherlands humor and tragic
goes side by side with a good performance of actors.
The images of the landscape make the camera work equally important as
the story itself.
|
Director Statement :
It means a lot to me to winning this award. It's a huge stimulans for me as a director to work further on new films. For me Korpsdam shows the human mechanism how a whole group is turning against one individual. It's very nice to hear that the jury also liked the performance of the actors. They never played in a movie before, and I think that they did a great job. I'll pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate the fact that we won this award. But I'll watch out with eating some cake because we all know what happends then. |

Under the humid night within a lively slum in the center of Manila,
Inday, a 54 year old single parent of a special child goes to her
unusual work.
|
|
|
|
Jury Statement :
The internal conflict of the main character is presented in an
ambiguous and mysterious way. The moments where we follow the
protagonist through the streets of Manila by night are marked by
tention. She is earning money in an unconventional way, putting
herself on risk. The visual language of the film makes images stay in
viewer's mind for a long time.

The roving Gritt (Birgitte Larsen) fights the exhausting battle of
establishing her ideas into practice as a autodidact performing artist
arriving the capital of the self acclaimed winners of the world
lottery. We follow her during her first weeks in Oslo, and through a
philosophical but rather dissociative voice we find a person with a
huge gap between her inner and outer world.
Retrett deals with alienation, dignety and courage of dreams, in a
poetic and humerous way.
|
|
|
|
Jury Statement :
How it is to deal with your dreams in the real life for such young,
ambitious women as a hero of this Norway film and to keep them in
spite of all difficulties. The good performing, dancing and stomping,
of the actress leads truth her life drama and gives a courage to keep
a safe mind.

Jury Statement :
For having treated the difficult topic of suicide at work, that
concerns the working organisation’s bases in its new forms of
exploitation and domination, transforming workers in victims and
executioner, we give the Snowden price to Black hours by Wendy
Pilonel.

Director Statement :
