As we can see today, many film group or collectives are active and
digital video is one of the important spare parts to make
what we called new Indonesian cinemas. Further than that, video can
be a tool for this young filmmaker to define themselves to their environment.
This selection can give a big picture of it, especially at independent
film scene.
Independent film scene is still on the move; to search and experiment
themselves to find and define in concept and artistic ways how digital
video can facilitate them to manifest their idea. If its a laboratories,
then it have many possibilities to develop and that is why Indonesian
short film can be something really exciting to follow.
