The film proves the importance of the documentary medium. With a very humanistic approach and love for the world this film shows us the life of the phisicaly handicapted and underprivilidged and teach us of the importance of compassion, family and acceptance.

An observation without sentimen-tality of the everyday life of a very unusual family. The mother cooks, the father distributes the newspaper, the son reads it with the help of a magnifying glass that he holds with his foot.

La veille de Noël, un chauffeur de taxi de Bucarest charge un client qui travaille en Espagne et est revenu passer les fêtes de fin d’année au pays. Lorsqu’il dépose son client, il prend conscience que l’émigration a aussi une face sombre.
A taxi driver on Christmas Eve in Bucharest picks up a customer who works in Spain and has now come home to celebrate Christmas. This man has an eager audience to listen to the stories about working abroad. When the taxi driver drops him off at his home, he realises that emigration also has ist down side.
