La nuit, dans une rue de Beyrouth. La caméra filme en temps réel un homme qui danse seul sur la chaussée. Précise, elle indique la date, le 12 juillet 2006: c’est le début de la guerre. malgré le calme et la beauté ds mouvements, malgré l’image floue et ralentie, une menace plane. Ce film expérimental, tout en musique et en lenteur, laisse pressentir l’omniprésence de la violence.
Night in the streets of Beyrouth. The camera shoots in real time a man on the pavement. It indicates the date with precision: July 12th 2006: it’s the beginning of the war. Despite the calm and beauty of movements, despite the blurry and slow picture, a menace is hanging. This experimental film, filled with music and tardiness, lets us feel the omnipresence of violence.

In hospital, grandmother’s life is hanging by a thread. One by ne, the relatives drop by to say goodbye. Overcome by grief, they all find their own way of coping with the loss: quietly, practically, noisily or respectfully. The director manages to avoid all the pitfalls of sentimentality.
