History is a dead cow in a funnel pretending to be a detuned bassoon serenading the moon halved by expectations not so great that new emperors bow their decapitated heads but 3 cakes are always better than 3 cents in this madly turning world peeking pecking ducktards for a midnight snack on the run.

The transition is harsh, childhood fades and fun laughters turns into sarcasm as the angels breath evaporates to flame. The forest darkens by those dark gray shapeshifters, eventually sprays holywater. Farewell to sunrise and welcome to puberty.

“Traslacion: Ang Paglakad sa Altar ng Alanganin (The March to the Altar of Uncertainty)” focuses on four LGBTQ couples and their stand on equality, their right to marry, and their romantic quests to know if their fairytale ends with a happy ending.
The movie captures the hearts of LGBTQ families faced with their biggest challenge, themselves and the conservative Philippine society they live in. An honest look into the plight of homosexuals in the Philippines, their journey to define themselves and their definition of family. Is the Philippines ready for a liberal Pope or a more accepting state leadership? Clearly the divide stirs up discussion of faith, of morals, amongst themselves and the society.

The FISDN present film series focused on different countries and regions. This section intends to discover and explore different spaces and cultures with the aim to understand the specific regional, political and social circumstances, do reconstruct the emotional and intellectual spécificities of a special region or country. In this critical work we belief it's essencial to prefer films which rufuse, in its form and expression, the retake of sterotype ways of reality restituition, as an act of resistance in the actual period of "globalisation", which inclins to impose one dominating model of culture and habitutes.
