An international jury overview the sections of short films coming from all over the world. The festival prefers film treating important subjects in an original way, films which don't avoid ambiguity and complexity, films, which are sometimes stay enigmatic, so that refection and mind are going on moving, exceptional films, which covers all kind of artistically expressions, films open for esthetical innovation, shortly films reflecting the perturbing strangeness of the modern world in a complex way.


Saba

Fazed by the untimely death of her sister , a young girl Saba is urged to rear her sister’s childeren. In the meantime, her mother starts worrying over nonstop visits of her late daughter’s husband to the house. She is pressed into her sisters role more and more. She is attracted to a school teacher but cannot open her mind to him for children’s sake. In the burden of tradition she might have to accept her brother-in-law’s proposal. Saba’s conflicted emotions are impressed upon us as vividly as the aching beauty of the landscape and the vast wilderness she lives in.

Richard, an unemployed 55-year-old, arrives 3 minutes late for his appointment at a job centre. An advisor, stifled by the limits of the system in which she works, has no choice but to penalise him for his tardiness. To avoid plunging further into destitution, Richard takes desperate measures. Inspired by the events surrounding the London Riots in 2011 and the subsequent infamous speech made by Prime Minister David Cameron, The Mass of Men gives harsh insight into the dangers of repression, disillusionment and apathy.

Rodrigo is a young deaf man from Recife, northeast Brazil who works installing car stereos in a small dealership on the outskirts of the town. Despite his deafness, sound penetrates his day-to-day life and he harnesses its vibrations, allowing it to pulse through his veins.
