An international jury overview the sections of short films coming from all over the world. The festival prefers film treating important subjects in an original way, films which don't avoid ambiguity and complexity, films, which are sometimes stay enigmatic, so that refection and mind are going on moving, exceptional films, which covers all kind of artistically expressions, films open for esthetical innovation, shortly films reflecting the perturbing strangeness of the modern world in a complex way. |

Simulacrum, magical or religious ritual, ritual of death or rite of passage, nothing is explicit in the action that deploys amongst the characters, between the extreme proximity and, at the same time, the absolute distance expressed by the gestures and bodies.

A woman fights a losing battle: one can't be poor and still want to stay among the familiar everyday. Born and raised, only to watch with confusion and rage her surroundings become deserted, transfomed to bleak places. Rear children disperse to faraway, to ugly cities. Told with great lyricism, Nadie Especial is about anyplace where the cards will always seem to be stacked against the powerless. On he same time it's about resolve, showing the challenge of a perhaps inevitable fate of hoping to restore the pieces of a long-eroded dignity. Even if that decision caused isolation.
