Two lovers are kissing in a way that reminds us of Auguste Rodin’s
sculpture “The Kiss.” The bodies are intertwined, intimate, and close
in flesh. However, their thoughts are elsewhere: weighing pros and
cons of the partner, calculating their individual gains, avoiding
sacrifices, essentially engaging in cost-benefit analysis. The stream
of thoughts is endless, confusing and the lovers are anxious, yet they
look like they are and should be in harmony. This concept of love as
transaction seems to get in the way of completely and sincerely giving
in. How do you love?
