Ma?gorzata - an important politician - is going to her home at the lake. Her son - a drug addict - needs her help. Ma?gorzata is asking her daughter for her support. At home they find Ma?gorzata's semiconscious son and a massacred body of a young girl. In the face of the tragedy, their relationship gets complicated, disclosing their hidden grudges. The mother has to make the most difficult decision in her life.

Film director and screenwriter. Graduate of the Wajda School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc?aw. In 2010, at the Cannes Film Festival, his Day of Chocolate won the Krzysztof Kie?lowski ScripTeast Award for the best Eastern and Central European Script. He has worked as a director of photography on many documentary films. In 2011 he debuted with a short feature film entitled "The Lake" and in 2012 debuted with a documentary film „The Loneliness of Sound”, which won The Silver Hobby-Horse (Award for the Director of the Best Documentary Film) on 52nd Krakow Film Festival.

We present film series focused on different countries and regions. This section intends to discover and explore different spaces and cultures with the aim to understand the specific regional, political and social circumstances, do reconstruct the emotional and intellectual spécificities of a special region or country. In this critical work we belief it's essencial to prefer films which rufuse, in its form and expression, the retake of sterotype ways of reality restituition, as an act of resistance in the actual period of "globalisation", which inclins to impose one dominating model of culture and habitutes..
