In the video, the figure is wrapped by the sense of alienation. He is not able to get back to himself. Nor is he able to escape from the unknown destiny. The astronaut shuttles back and forth, responding to the gigantic but empty force resembled by the inescapable physical world, wrapping everything and sliding to the indefinite spacious edges. It is like the beginning of the big bang. There is no turning back. The laws of the physical world have never ceased to dominate the world. Under the gigantic force, everything helplessly slides to the indefinite spacious edges. Via the fiction of figure and environment, the work intends to feel the gigantic and empty existence behind the sliding of the physical world through a series of strange scattered detailed representations. |
