Umzugstag (Moving Day )

The video shows a living room, which is destroyed little by little resembling to an earthquake. The living room has been set up in a construction container. Then a truck transported the container to a new place. During the ride the furniture starts to move.
Kutter takes the emblem of the particular "cant" and comfort of western living-standard as the initial point of a permanent and irremediable destruction. The whole's filmed in slow rythm, expressing something like an unpredictable metamorphosis.

A strange subversive approach of the master piece romantic music reduced to bare material conditions of interpretation : An actor pulling the genius' cultural heritage through the concrete space.
An estonishing concretization of the difference between occidental and oriental approaches to culture upto today. Idealism and Materialism are painfully confronted, on the same time evocation of the sometimes overhelming violence to bring youth to culture.

Aquarium

The Aquarium," was filmed in high-definition video in Alaska, Mystic, CT, and New York City. The video contrasts the views of the Arctic landscape with the claustrophobia of captured sea mammals living in aquariums. Even as these artificial environments give safe haven to endangered animals andoffer visitors a mesmerizing glimpse of the marine life. « The Aquarium » looks beyond the spectacle to the reality of progressive destruction of these animals' very habitat. It is not simply an environmental critique, however; rather, the video assumes an attitude of wonder towards its magnificent subjects: the animals, the landscape, the human observers, and the artificial environments they have created in order to domesticate nature.
